Webinar on Credit Rating Held under the Capital Market Support Programme

On September 9, 2025, an online webinar was held under the Capital Market Support (CMS) Programme, focusing on the fundamentals of credit rating. The session was led by Nicolas Cambier, Director at Scope Group, and brought together market participants to gain practical insights into the role and significance of credit ratings in capital markets.
The webinar introduced participants to the mechanics of how credit ratings are determined, their importance for companies and investors, and strategies for improving a company’s rating. Key discussion points included:
- Understanding Credit Ratings – What they are and why they matter
- The Rating Process – Requirements and steps to obtaining a credit rating
- Strengthening a Company’s Rating – Practical approaches to improvement
This session formed part of the ongoing CMS Programme, a joint initiative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU). The Programme is implemented by Galt & Taggart and Ameria Management Advisory, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
